any cures or home remedies for psoriasis

hello all,

i have minor psoriasis when i stress out.  the only thing that gets rid of them is tanning but i am going to start trying to have a baby again this week and can not tan when pregnant due to not being able to over heat.

does any one know any good remedies or cures for when someone gets small psoriasis break outs?

thanks

when i stress out, they show up on my stomach and back only in a very small area.  i have been diagnosed and prescribed ointments but none of them work.  the only thing that has ever worked is the tanning but now with TTC, that can be dangerous.  i did not know if there were any home remedies?

Hi.

Have you been diagnosed with psoriasis with your physician?

Where is this psoriasis located? Are they highly localized in certain areas only?

Mild forms of psoriasis may be treated with high potency corticosteroids for at least a month. This is the mainstay of therapy for the milder forms. I suggest that you inform your physician about this prior to initiation of treatment. Corticosteroids have their side effects and if there is a plan of getting pregnant then you need to be closely supervised by your physician as corticosteroids may be contraindicated.

Corticosteroid is the drug of choice together with calcipotriene. You may discuss this with your doctor.
