Folliculitis?

Hello, 2 days ago as I was getting into the shower I noticed about 4-5 small red bumps on the top of my thigh.  They didnt hurt, nor did they itch.  The only reason I noticed them was because I actually saw them.  At first glance I thought they were pimples, I have recently started working out again and perhaps though that the constant sweating and chaffing had caused them.  Thinking that they were pimples I tried to pop them and picked at them, they didnt bleed but I did try to pop them hard enough to cause bleeding as I was overly concerned and wanted them to go away.  I have probably made it worse by touching it and trying to scratch it away, which doesnt work.   They dont hurt and I dont really even notice it unless I touch them.  They have seemed to get better over time and I notice when I pull on my hair each one has a hair in the middle of it.  They dont look like blisters bc when I popped them nothing really came out, could it be herpes?  It doesnt hurt or anything but it appeared to scab after only after I starting picking and popping them and only in the areas I popped.  They are also different sizes, from 2cm to the size of a pic head.  I have some lotramin anti fungal cream I was going to apply but I didnt know if it would make it worse.  I have only had sex with one person in the past 5 months and we live together so I know she is faithful and I know she is clean from her previous OBGYN visit.  Another thought at first was maybe scabies?  But they dont itch or anything, just get irritated when I touch them.  Any advice would be great so I can have some peace of mind.  Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but from the symptoms it can be infected hair follicle or folliculitis. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Also, I would like to state that they are all on my thigh but are not relatively close to each other, some are but other bumps are spread out about 1/2 in - 1 in away.
