HELPPPPP!! darkened upper lip

HELP PLEASE!!! IM REALLY DESPERATE. Okay so a few weeks ago I start using sally hansens cream facial hair remover on my upper lip and ever since then my upper lip has had a darker color than the rest of my face. I tried to make it better by using lemon juice on my upper lip and going out in the sun but I think that just made it worse. I am so self concious about it ow because it is very noticeable. I've researched and thought about skin lighteners/bleachers? But I am kind of hesitant to use them is ther any other way to fix this problem?????

Hi,

Did you have an allergic reaction or reaction at the site?

It appears you have had some kind of reaction/sensitivity to the substance.

There are many options available to treat this. You may consult your dermatologist who may prescribe you some medication.

You must understand the degree of benefit may vary and depends on the present condition, the cause and the body area.

Hope this helped.

best regards

It is not uncommon to experience a reaction when using hair removing cream. When using a new product always do a test patch on a small area before proceeding with the treatment. The best facial hair removers are the ones with after-care lotion included. Do not use any astringent products on the area you're treating for 48 hours before and after use.
I would not put lemon juice on this sensitized area as that may make the reaction worse.
Use a bland cleanser and moisturiser until your skin has recovered, I recommend ones by Roche-Posay.
