Weird Scar Like Lines on Forearm appear and disappear

Hi There,
I've been getting these random lines on right forearm that come and go, they seem to look like indentations/marks. I guess I could describe them as looking like you may have slept on something strange that left lines on your forearm. It's so strange, they come and last for an hour or more, and then disappear and it only happens on my right arm. I work with kids, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that ? I'm just trying to figure out what it is and if it's harmful. Anyone know what this could be?

I have the same exact thing that just started occuring. I know exactly what is causing my issue. I had an MRI with contrast and had a bad reaction. I've confirmed my levels of the contrast agent, which is a heavy metal called Gadolinium, are extremely elevated. Since the MRI 2montha ago, I've had a lot of issues this being one of the more recent onces.

Hi Shawn,
I just sent you a message, but then noticed you posted on here as well. That's really interesting that you work with kids too and get it, as well. I work with one 3 year old, and one 11 month old. I think it does have to do with our internal organs or something that releases something to make our arms react. Mine also only appears on the right arm. I've never gotten the lines on my left arm. It's really bizarre. I'll continue to do research, but I don't think you and I are the only one's who have gotten this. Would you mind posting a picture/sending me a picture of your arm when you get it? I'd love to compare. (If you have a photo) Thanks for writing Shawn!

Hello--

I have been experiencing this exact thing on my right arm for about 10 days now.  I noticed it at first in the early morning, thought I had slept on it funny.  And now it appears several times throughout the day.

Little indentations, across the forearm, just like you describe, Becky.

I too work with kids, although I have not been at the school for a couple months now. I also work with compost and manure?

I am wondering if it is something more to do with internal organs, releasing toxins, or something like this?

I don't know if a dermatologist will know or not, seems like no from the few comments I have read on other sites.

Thank you.

Thank you Bhupinder Kaur, as well as maatson !
I will try that out. The indentations don't seem to bother or irritate me at all, they just look a bit funny, because it only appears on my right arm.. and then goes away, and comes back. I will try washing it and use a mild cleanser and hypoallergenic moisturizer... thank you so so much for your help! I will try this and keep you posted on if it improves or not.
Thanks again!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to hive which appear and disappear or due to dermatographism. For hives, avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort and take anti allergic medicine like Benadryl.

If the irritation persists then get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
