Help identifying spot of redness on cheek

Hello everyone, I've had a redness on my cheek for over a month now.  It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr.  Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing.  I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here.  I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure.  As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised.  It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin.  It has never itched.  When this originally developed, the top layer of skin dried and peeled cleanly off revealing the redness underneath.

Yes I plan on seeing her in a week.  I've stopped the clobetasol and mupirocin due to their ineffectiveness.  What OTC anti fungals should I try.

Possibly Tinea incognito
(Fungus aggravated by steroid application). Do consult doc.
