Hemorrhoid Disturbance

Hi. I'm 16 and I had this problem just for about 3 months ago. I think I got this hemorrhoid in my anal area. And until now, its not leaving my anal area. How should I treat this? It is a big hindrance for me. Because whenever I take a bath, I will see some liquid excrement in my underwear. How will I treat his so-called hemorrhoid? I want to get rid of it. Thanks for the concern.

Hello,
Sitz bath is a bath or tub where you sit in warm water that covers the buttocks and hips. You can fill a tub with warm water and sit in that tub and it will form sitz bath. Sitting in warm water allows more blood to reach the impacted area, promoting healing and helping with any discomfort.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Thank you very much! But may I ask, what are sitz baths? And how can I buy or have those? And what preparations should I conduct so I can treat myself using that? Thanks for the concern!

Hello,
To tackle external hemorrhoids, first of all sit in warm sitz baths several times during the day and for around 10 min each time. Wear cotton clothes and underwear and they should not be too tight. Also apply topical creams like petroleum jelly, cortisone creams, hemorrhoidal cream (such as Preparation-H) or suppositories to the affected area. Also clean the anal area after each bowel movement by patting gently with moist toilet paper or moistened pads Drink plenty of fluids and eat lots of fiber in your diet.

If you are overweight then keep a tab on the calorie intake and exercise regularly to lose weight. If possible join a gym and do not lift any excessive weights in gym without consulting your personal trainer. In case of any constipation, stool softeners or laxatives can be taken but they should be used only after consulting a doctor and not very regularly. If the external hemorrhoids still persist then other treatment options has to be followed and this includes rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy, infrared photocoagulation, laser coagulation or hemorrhoidectomy. I suggest you to consult a good surgeon in that case. I hope that helps. Take care and regards.

Hello, by the way, may I ask if there are traditional treatments/easy treatments (can be done at home) that I can do for me to be healed? I think it may be difficult for me to afford all of that. Thanks.

Hello,
Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus which may itch. Treatment includes sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation, cryosurgery or Stapled Hemorrhoidectomy. Please consult a surgeon and get it evaluated.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
