I dunno if it is herpes or ingrown hair

Ok I found a little red bump close to my vagina,in the left lip,and it had a liiiittle hair in the middle,so I thought it was an ingrown hair,so I took it out.I took it out onn...wednesday.My mom spoke to my aunt's husband cause he's a gynecologist, and he said to wait for the white thing to come out.Yesterday(Friday) it came out and I cleaned it and since then its better, its smaller. When i took the hair out...it was a little itchy, but it stopped minutes later, and now its not itchy or painful,it never was....but its still there...maybe until it completely cures...but I had sex a month ago,we used protection,he's...thing never touched me without protection...but I'm still kinda freaked out...

Hello,

Two possibilities are there.First as you have described it,it can be a boil. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Also then other possibility has to be ruled out.The other possibility is of Bartholin’s cyst.In that case, a gynecologist’s evaluation will be the best.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

I'm sure that it an ingrown hair but to be safe you can go get a blood test and they can tell you if it is because it lie's in the blood stream.  Also herpes is like a blister and is very sore for about a week and it itches like hell remember use safe sex you can never be to careful.
