I have acne like 'things' in my groin, what is it?

I'm a female and a teenager and I am NOT sexually active in anyway possible. Ever since I was 13 [when I got my period] this large red pus looking things appeared in my groin area. They hurt sometimes and when they pop it hurts even worse. They also leave these ugly looking scars, they're also on my butt. Now, I'm a very clean and meticulous person; I shower everyday. I don't share underwear, nothing.

The last thing I want to do is go to a doctor, because I hate going in the first place and secondly my mother and father will instantly think: "She's having sex!" blah blah blah.

I did notice that very, very hot compresses help relieve the pain and it got rid a few of these things. And vagisal powder helps too. But, I don't want to be soooo dependent of those two things.

What is this that I have? And how do I get rid of it?

Thank you very much. :)

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough, but it sounds like folliculitis or boils. Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles.Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus.Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
