Is chemical peeling good?

OKay, I am a new member. I have black pigments all over my body, so I considered chemical peeling. Some people said it is good only for face, but my doctor didn't say otherwise. Hence I did a whole body chemical peeling 3 days back. I didnt have any stinging or burning sensation. MY doctor said i have to have a 2nd sitting after 15 days.
I'd like to know whether it is effective, is it okay to do in the whole body, will my skin come back to normal.
When will i notice the change?
also please share your experience.thanks

Thank you so much for the valuable answer. I have not yet found any change in the body or face. I guess, my doctor( infact a nurse did it and not the doctor, the nurse is trained) used very diluted glycolic acid and I am scheduled for a second sitting after 15 days. HOpe it is going to help me this time. I will keep you informed. Thanks once again.

Hello,
Chemical peeling of the whole body is done to counteract the effects of sun damage, even out skin pigmentation, and improve skin texture. The chemical solution for body chemical peels is typically comprised of a combination of trichloroacetic acid (the main ingredient in a medium-depth skin peel) and glycolic acid (the main ingredient of a mild peel). The solution for body chemical peels is formulated to be stronger than the chemical solution used for light or medium facial skin peels, though it is milder than the phenol solution used for deep skin peels. It is effective if done by a good certified doctor and adequate precautions suggested by your doctor are taken after chemical peeling.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
