What is it?

Greetings,

A few weeks ago i noticed a red patch( not itchy or scaly) just above my left gluteus maximus.
It has spread on my back and my abdomen, on the left hand has reached almost near elbow and hasn't passed by my knees.
The other patches are smaller in size, seem to be more skin like color. They do not itch, but it seems they get redder when i do exercises and might become itchy. I also think that exposure to sun might make them whiter like my skin color, but not too sure.
I might be able to post a photo in maximum 2 days.
Thanks in advance.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
These symptoms can be due to pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
