accutane and side effects?

Are they reversible? I read some about thinning or hair loss? After medication, does it grow back? The only thing I noticed is a few hairs here and there when I comb my hair. A bit concerned. My lips are not great but I got a lip chap for men. I also feel lethargic, exhausted for no reason, low energy, and head aches. The odd upset stomach too. Can someone inform me?

Alright, I stopped accutane recently being told by family it could be effecting my hair. I notice a bit of damage. What can I do for my hair? How about rectum discomfort? I don't know its rectum but maybe before there? I have been hospitalized since using accutane 3x. The bum region hurts sneezing. I think its infected. I am trying not read **** online. I don't want to worry. I am hearing mixed things about hairloss permanent and it not being. There is signs of thinning, and I am concerned. My doc is on holidays and clinics aren't helpful much. If it helps much the rectum or bum discomfort I felt within the last week or ten days. The rectum or tract regional
Started in the last few.

I am off accutane. Please help me out!

Hi, so I was wondering how this worked out for you. Did the side effects go away eventually? Did you develop gastrointestinal issues?

Alright, I am almost half way through accutane. I hit another bump. I came down with a high fever, terrible head ache, chills, dry lips, and eyes. Could this be symptomatic? My skin is clear. I no longer feel lethargic. I do feel strange feelings in my arms and legs. I fear stroke or heart attack. Is it possible? I feel unease at Times. Do I have any reason to be concerned?

Thanks so much for the response. My apologies for such a late response. I am still on accutane. A new symptom has arose. I contacted the pharmacy about it for further recommendations. He listed off side effect and what he thinks I have is dry eyes. Now, this is not that big deal however, I have never experienced eye pain. Its not excrutiating pain however, it is discomfortable. I have visine and eye drops from previous outings of infection once. The advice was see a doctor. Obviously, the biggest concern is stroke, heart attack and permanent removal of all things in my life like the ability to walk.

I can say, nothing has helped the way accutane has. I got a hair cut and made the mistake of getting my hair texturized. My cousin made a comment about my hair so, now I am concerned about it thinning. Upon further inspection, it feels thinner near the crown but, she did texturize my hair. Also, I was laying on it in a certain spot. I took a video with my phone for further inspection finding nothing but I will keep a close eye on it.

Is rogain out of the question while on accutane?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It is true that accutane has plenty of side effects. It may cause cheilitis and dry lips but thinning of skin and hair loss are less frequent side effects. From your symptoms first of all hypothyroidism should be ruled out. The second possibility to be ruled out is of vitamin D deficiency. Symptoms of hypothyroidism are fatigue, depression, weight gain, cold intolerance, dry, coarse hair and skin, constipation ,muscle cramps, decreased concentration, vague aches and pains, palpitation and swelling of the legs.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
