Itchy red leg bumps ixtapa zihuatanejo

I just got back from that part of Mexico. I had one larger itchy red bump below my knee, and it seemed just itchy. I thought it was poison ivy and small enough that it would go away if I didn't mess with it but it has since started spreading. I feel like it could be spreading from a towel when I'm out of the shower or pulling my shorts up over it because it seems to be spreading up. I read some stuff about chiggers in that area? Anyway there are only 5 bumps, I have included a picture. They seem to be getting more itchy.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These bite like lesions can be due to insect bites, scabies bites, chiggers or body lice. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid and take an antihistaminic in case of itching.

If the symptoms persist then consult a dermatologist and get scabies ruled out.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
