Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis

Hi,

I'm a 31 year old female from the UK who has felt unwell for 3 years now. 2 weeks after having my baby I became in immence pain and 4 months later I had my gall bladder removed, which was said to be diseased. Still in uncomfortable pain around my abdomen, terrible bloating,colic-like feelings, having aching joints that are getting worse, constant fatigue, loss of breath, sore eyes with rare tunnel vision, diarrhea on/off and also a rash on my legs of which I've had for almost a year. After recently going to a Dermatologist, being passed through many different consultants along the way first (being told it could be severe IBS and still being treated for that), and having a biopsy done I'm now waiting for the results. Got a letter through telling me there's a possibilty it could be Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis, even though at first they thought it was Follicuitis, and therefore more tests are being done. Very scared I must say! I would just like to know if Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis could affect the eyesight? Also, I've not been able to think straight, being forgetful and a little dizzy. Could these be symptoms also? I read this back to myself and think 'surely these can't all be symptons of the same thing'!? I just want to feel better as these pains are really starting to get me down. Please help me.

I have been dealing with LCV for the greater part of my adult life. I do not know of any treatment that makes it go away; however, it seems that stress and/or activities beyond my threshold triggers  severe episodes. Learning how to slow down, limiting activities - especially walking has been vital. I joined the Chronic Pain Association and purchased CDs that help me power down and relieve stress and pain, I also rotate meds and try not to rely on any one type. Learning to read my body so that I am taking what it needs or wants has been helpful. Cluster headaches, cluster symptoms need a cluster of remedies.

I have had this for 12 years now and it is under some sort of contol with a combination of Dapsone and Steroids. Yes it can affect your eyesight and is extremely painful at times I have been unable to walk with it. It makes you extremely tired and yes I have the dizziness. I am under the care of a Rheumatologist which is very helpful indeed.
