Mole really itchy and burning

I have this mole on my back thats about 3mm wide not a perfect circle and is dark brown with one little back dot. After being in the shower or sun it burns and then gets really itchy, its been there for about 12months and seems to be getting more raised, what is it?

HI after posting my question i pushed myself to go to the doctor even though i was extemely scarred she said that it was an epidermoid cyst but to be sure she gave me a local  and took the mole away and sent it to pathology for testing i find out in two weeks if there was anything serious about it, the only thing that worried her was the amount of blood that dripped down my back when she cut, but she didnt say why, she just told me to wait for the results... what could she have been so worried about????

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

I cannot confirm anything without examination, but it can be epidermoid cyst or seborrheic keratosis. An epidermoid cyst is a benign cyst, developed out of ectodermal tissue. A seborrheic keratosis is a noncancerous benign skin growth that consists of heaped up melanin.

I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.Although both of them are benign conditions but they have to be differentiated from melanoma.A biopsy will be helpful in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.
