Morphea (localized scleroderma)

Hi,

I had a biopsy done recently and they discovered what I have is Morphea, I've read about it on the internet but I was wondering if you know of any treatments for this. I was reading that it is excessive of collagen so maybe if the collagen is reduced would that be an option. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks!

About 4 years ago I developed morphea.  A year later my liver enzymes were elevated and the doc ordered a test for hepatitis C.  It was positive.  I had no risk factors for the hepatitis, no transfusions, no IV drugs ever in my history.  It's a long story, but ultimately I treated for the hep c.  That treatment aggravated the morphea, but I licked the hepatitis and am now morphea-free.  I think everybody with a weird autoimmune disease should ask for a hepatitis C test - in fact everybody should.
