My Inner Thigh Is Killing Me!!

Hi i seem to have a little problem with my inner thigh im a 22 year old male, mainly my left upper inner thigh close to the groin area. some times it becomes very red and puffy and sensitive and itches the skin becomes pinkish red and when i scratch it becomes flaky and scaley, the edges look like something similar to ring worm because the rash forms like a half circle  starting at my inner thigh close to the groin area till about 2 inches towards the middle of my thigh then curves back again towards my inner thigh about 2 inches down from where it starts, usually i use 1%hydrocortizone cream and it helps for about 1-2 days then the rash comes back??  Ive had this for a few months now and cannot afford a doctor does this sound dangerous maybe STD related?? i dont know but its driving me insane someone please give me some advise....

I had the same rash. Somebody told me to try  a medicine called "Bag Balm".  You buy it at your local TSC or Farm Store.  Farmers use it on cow udders.  I used it and my rash was gone within 2 days.  Sounds funny but it really works.  It costs about $ 5.00-6.00 for a can.  Heck of a lot cheaper than going to a doctor.  Hope this helps, i know it has for me.

I've got identical symptoms. I've been dealing with it for over three years. A doctor told me it was similar to diaper rash. I've never heard of a three year diaper rash! He prescribed clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate, which offers temporary relief, but it always comes back. It seems to be more sever when it gets humid or sweaty for an extended period in my groin. I hope you have better luck than me finding a solution!

Have you had any luck with these symptoms I am suffering the same thing for at least a year now with no avail. The itching is worse at night and I never had the rash until pregnancy, and has not gone away since. I have tried different creams that were perscribed by the doctor because he thought it was fungal infection or something like that but it still has not gone away, The rash develops almost welt like abrasions on my inner thighs and itch horribly.

I would say jock itch but hydrocortizone would make that worse.
The next thing is eczema. Which is a horrible disease. There is no cure or realistic treatment. The doctors prescribe steroid creams which can and will eventually make things much worse.
Stress makes the symptoms worse which creates more stress. Scratching relieves the itch but makes the itch worse. The medical community could care less about the people that suffer with eczema, as it is a big money maker and will not harm you. It might make your life miserable but they will cash in on the constant appointments and billions of dollars made on creams and ointments.
One thing I always wanted to know is why every field of medicine moves forward, except dermatology?
I believe they will be doing brain transplants and the dermatologist will still be prescribing steroids that don't work.
