Newly discovered brown marks on back of thigh???

When putting shorts on for the first time this year...my mom noticed a NEW mark on the back of my thigh.  It looks like an old scar with 2 tiny little brown spots on it.  The entire mark measures 3 mm.  It doesn't itch, bleed or bother me.  I am not sure how long it has been there.  I am seeing my dermatologist on Thursday.  I have attached a picture.  Does anyone have an idea what this may be???  I am scared about melanoma :(

Please see attached picture that is zoomed in....thanks!

Thanks for your response.  I see my dermatologist tomorrow.  I am glad you listed some options on what it may be....I always fear the worst (skin cancer).

I am hoping it is nothing.  I will post an update.  Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to freckles, lentigo or hyperpigmentation skin. Lentigo is a small, sharply circumscribed, pigmented macule surrounded by normal-appearing skin.
You cannot remove them at home. Cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser are the main treatment modalities. Although there are many skin creams like hydroquinone and salicylic acid, but their use needs prescription .I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
