Hello,
From the symptoms it can be some harmless hyperigmentation, freckle or lentigo. It is a small, sharply circumscribed, pigmented macule surrounded by normal-appearing skin.
You cannot remove them at home.Cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser are the main treatment modalities.Although there are many skin creams like hydroquinone and salicylic acid, but their use needs prescription .I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Definitely have the Derm assess the site; you are doing the right thing.
I am guessing they are some hyperpigmented areas that are probably benign, but I am no Derm either.
Keep us posted.
Thanks for the reply. No...I am not in the sun a lot. Its on the back of my thigh too....so I know its not a place that gets a lot of sun on a daily basis. I don't recall anything that would have caused a scar there either...which has be baffled. I have a friend who was just dx with melanoma...so I am freaked out.
Looks to me like some hyperpigmentation spots on an old scar. Are you in the sun alot?
