I don’t know if anyone is still following this post but I had very similar symptoms. Went to my GYN who recommended I see my dermatologist who referred me to a colorectal surgeon. Just went today. She said what I have is little sebaceous cysts and as long as they don’t bother me and don’t get infected she recommends leaving them alone. Otherwise trying to take them out is a real mess. So only if one gets infected would she even think about it. So leave them alone. Don’t they to pop them or drain them. Don’t want to risk an infection. But certainly see a colorectal surgeon for a diagnosis to be sure.
22Curious-Too, I'm looking for real answers to dermatology questions too. Good luck finding a real explanation. They likely don't know. Do they even care? Probably not.
I have them and have for years too! Pretty sure they are what you think, like blocked pores or something. Only notice them when they fill enough to be uncomfortable and then they go until the next time. Thanks for making me feel better as there's really only HPV, cysts or warts when googling and they are definitely none of those!
Hello,
Such kind of bump can be a sebaceous cyst. Generally no treatment is required for sebaceous cysts but if they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank you for your reply Dr.
After looking at lots of pictures of seaceous cysts (((shudder))) I really don't think that's what it is. I've actually seen one of those in person and these seem much different. It's like the same pores get filled over and over. I squeeze the stuff out(not an easy task due to location!) and eventually they fill again. They are small, maybe a 16th of an inch long, very superficial and they seem to fill side ways not going down into the body, if that makes sense and the contents come out from one end. It's very white(not pus like at all) and there isn't much of it..
Unfortunately, I find them way too embarrassing to go to a Dr. to look at. so I guess I'll have to deal with them....
