Orignilly from other-I have the same problem...please help!

Reading this, Bumper and I have similar problems.  I had unprotected sex with a friend about 2 weeks ago, and a couple of days ago I started noticing slight reddening on the head of my penis along with bumps accompanying these red areas.  The surface of the red area has increased since yesterday.  I too have not experienced any itching, swelling, pain while urinating, or blisters or sore.  The bumps and red areas are strictly confined to the head of the penis.  I am going to seek medical attention, but am slightly hesitant, because all I can think of is that it is herpes or another STD, which I believe my paranoia may in the long run make myself believe that the condition is worse that what it really is.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything but this red rash and bumps can be due to contact dermatitis, fungal infection causing balanoposthitis or sexually transmitted disease.
Balanoposthitis is the inflammation of the foreskin and glans and can be caused by bacterial or fungal origins or by contact dermatitis.

Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and also get complete STD panel esp. for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea ruled out..

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I know for a fact that these bumps are not warts. They look like pearly penile papules, however; these usually occur only on the rim of the head of the penis, and not on the head.
