Please help...

My girlfriend may have an STD, but we're not sure what. I've looked (Google) and such. It's a red mark on her butt, she said it's sometimes itchy, but not usually. She had a family member look at it and it isn't a "bump" but looks more just like a mark, despite feeling like a bump.

What could it be? How could it be treated?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You have not mentioned since how long the mark has been there but if the mark has been present for quite some time then it can be due to eczema and psoriasis. Ask your girlfriend to wash the areas several times with fresh water. She should not use any cosmetic products at the sites. She can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin and can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. Symptoms  can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

it could be an ingrown hair too, they seem to cause little bumps (pimple-looking) not sure if that's how it looks. if she thinks she has an STD she should really get into a doctor. good luck!
