Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of folliculitis and there is nothing to worry about but I suggest you to practice safe sex. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
The number of sexual partners is not an indication of your potential health. STDs are becoming more prevalent among teens, 20s and 30s, which can be transmitted vaginally, orally, or through anal sex. Not to scare you, but the reality is you may be one sexual partner away from an STD - that partner might not know they even have something until weeks later. To ease your mind in the future and stop your paranoid feelings, use protection. I know you know this.
One more thing about your upcoming visit, ask about the new HPV drug which the doctor can administer (you've probably seen it in commercials and mag ads). You're still young enough to get protected from it.
Thank you so much !
But i have one more thing to ask...maybe you can help ?
This will be my first check up ever ! I keep getting really paranoid/scares that I can have something...but i have no signs of stds! I have no nasty discharges at all ! No itching in my vagina ! Only itching is around the vagina but that cause i shave..but other then that, theres Nothing ! Ive slept with 7 diff guys throughout these 3 years....I talked to my friend & she said she just recently got checked this year...has had sex since she was 13...(shes 18/19 now)..with 10 different guys..& she didnt have anything at all ! Is it just cause i can be paranoid since this is my first check up??
It could be sebaceous cysts or HPV. Being that its around the vaginal area, but not in the vagina, makes me lean towards the cysts. There's a lot of good medical sites if you google the terms. Hopefully you'll have a chance to speak with your doctor and have him/her examine the skin to diagnose it. What you have is most likely treatable. Don't worry.
