Purplish scars left from boil

Hello doctor. I really hope I can get some helpfull advice, since I haven't found any in a year. I had gotten a tatto on my thigh about a year ago and it got infected. (MRSA probably) I got 3 boils on the area. Went to a doct, was prescibed antiobiotics and all went away. The only problem is that I have 3 purplish scars left that just won't go away no matter what I do. They are a little unflattened, and dark purple. When I apply pressure on them they turn to normal color as the skin, but go back in like 2 seconds. It is weird. I have searched all over internet and found nothing, although there are so many people with this problem. I've tried some acne scar removal products, as also this product that you cut up with scizzors and put on the scar and leave for hours through out the day. I've been doing that for 3 weeks and no luck, even though supposendly this is supposed to be the thing that fades it. So that's my question doctor, I would be very very thankfull for any insight. Have a great day!
Thank you

Thank you so much! I have allready found so much on treatment over internet just because of the profesional name for the scars, that you gave me. I would still like to go with your opinion, as to where I can purchase hydroquinone cream localy, as in what stores carry it, if you know? I have found many products but they only have around 2% of hydroquinone cream in it, so I'm thinking that may not be enough? If you know any brand names or stores that carry those products, it would be awesome!!
Thank you again

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

The lesion that you have described sounds like a scar with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
