Rash on foreskin

Hello All,

I am a 19 year old male who is not currently sexually active. A while ago while i was masturbating i developed a rash on the tip of my foreskin. When it healed it formed little bumps that look, much like an STD. This is troubling to say the least and has me worried that any sexual partner from here on will see it and assume the worst.

So here's my question, is there any kind of cream or lotion i can use to reduce the size of these healed protrusions? Or is my only option to cross my fingers every time i have sex?

Hello,
For the friction rub, wash the area several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some Neosporin powder or calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist

I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

Oh forgot to mention, the cause is definitely friction rub. It's just the way the skin healed that has me offset.

Should I still try the above remedies?

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts ,Fordyce spots, molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts.

Apply warm compresses,Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it.You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.
