I don't know where you live.
But in the UK, you can only get Trimovate on prescription only.
The only side effect is that it can cause thinning of the skin in long term use. I have been using it for years on and off and was prescribed it by the hospital.
You could try Canesten or Canesten HC cream, which is an antifungal cream that you can buy over the counter at the pharmacist.
Whichever cream you try, apply it for a few days after the skin problem has disappeared.
As well as the antifungal creams, you can also apply moisturiser creams, like E45, Dibrobase, Doublebase, Dermol (which is an antibacterial moisturiser).
Done use soaps and bubble baths or gels as these are harsh and dry the skin.
My doctor gave no real answer to what it could be. He said that rashes can appear on any part of the body, including "down there". Just told me to keep looking out for it and if it blushed up again, I could call in for an emergency appointment which means I could come and see him immediately.
I will try to cream. Are there any side effects with using a cream like this if I don't have anything and it's just dry skin? Thanks for your answer, by the way.
What did the doctor say it was? Did he give you any cream or ointment?
It looks like an eczema type of problem. Possibly Lichen Planus.
I think you would benefit from applying Trimovate. This is an antifungal and antibacterial cream.
Do not use any soaps or gels or bath lotions. You will be OK with baby type bath stuff.
