Red dots on my face?

I have these red dots on my face where acne used to be. The skin on these dots are flat, so I don't think it's a scar or a pimple. I've been having this for a while trying to find an answer, and I haven't found one. They are around my eyes, forehead, and on both sides of my nose.

They look really bad, like I still have acne, and I really want to know how to get rid of them. Please help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hi

This may be a case of postinflammatory pigmentation. In this case, it may take weeks to months before this reverts to normal skin color. You may start using a sunscreen to protect the face. Use an SPF of at least 30. Also, use vitamin E cream at night to  smoothen the affected areas and also to help lighten the skin. Do not scratch or pick on the areas as this may only cause further irritation.
