Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like cheilitis and angular cheilitis at the corners of mouth which are caused by infection. Dry out the lesions completely by patting and air drying after washing with a mild soap and use petroleum jelly to lock out moisture. It is vital that the affected areas be clean and completely dry before application of the jelly. You can also apply small amounts of athlete’s foot cream which is available over the counter. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist as oral antimicrobials may be needed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank you very much for the response, it's much appreciated. The rash and everything is completely gone now. I tried using both aloe vera and a little bit of locoid 0.1% a few days ago, before I saw this, which I probably shouldn't have done without talking to someone but it seems to have worked.
I am having a similar occurance but my rash is all around my mouth. My angular cheilitis is under control but I cannot get rid of the rash. My lips inside and out are now involved. I don't see any bumps or white splotches. my lips on the inside are like if you ate a jar of pickles the tissue would be. I have tried a cortisone cream, antifungal cream, etc.
I had this for years on and off, and tried everything!! Finally I saw a specialist and it turns out it's a symptom of a zinc deficiency. Zinc is a vital element for our skin, and it has no negative effects. Hope this helps!
Hi, I have just got the same thing and thought to do some research. I play the clarinet and I stopped for 2 weeks and my mouth really hurt after not playing for weeks however I do think someone else used my clarinet could this be the cause of why I got it because it happened the night after?????
Sorry don't know why it posted twice ^^^^
We'll I was been through this around 4 years, it's not fully around my mouth, well it's definitely under my knee; and a lot more place, and I noticed that I think it's from salive. When you sleep make sure ur mouth is closed, cuz the salive can cause you this, now this is gone, not completely gone, it rash red, and when you open ur mouth, it hurts, when u try to eat it hurts. The aloe Vera didn't work, neither anything else, just one, it's called Dermovate, u put around ur mouth and protects you from salive. The salive comes when you sleep, it exit ur mouth and dry on ur skin, well I am not sure this is your case, but I think so cuz it's the same, pls before putting this medicine, pls consult a doctor. Try it it's very working
Well, and plus the sweat can cause you that also, it cause you on the penis, under knee, maybe everywhere. But most on the sensitive areas, I have all those things, it happens, when I sleep salive comes out from my mouth, I noticed that, my brother don't, it depends on the person. Now I am cured, they made me experiences, they though I am an anti-gluten, but no it's the salive, cause now I am eating bread and it's gone.
For me it turned out to be food allergies. I've got quite a few. New ones plagued me for several years before I discovered that it was two things: the food coloring Annatto and Agave Syrup.
Once I stopped eating them, the rash started to disappear.
I've the same problem pleads
