Hello,
From the symptoms it can be due to contact dermatitis, friction rub or dermatitis skin. If it starts itching then other possibilities of fungal infection and eczema have to be thought of. You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash.
If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Hello,
It can be due to balanitis. It is an inflammation of the glans penis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Sorry the second post is the reply for another question.
