Skin feels sunburned but isnt

Hi. About Saturday i started noticing my head was hurting but it was not like a headache it was more like my scalp(only most of the left side) had a sunburn but this is nearly impossible as i was wearing a hardhat 95% of the time i was outside the day before. It is now Tuesday and the strange feeling of sunburn has spread to my upper right arm(like by the bicep) my lower right arm(around the wrist only on the inside side) and down my left temple and to my eye and down the right side of my neck. If this helps i had hiccups and severe heartburn from thursday evening to saturday night...(tried a lot to stop them and ate a lot of tums)... My mother says it is prolly some virus but i would rather make sure... again there are no visible signs of a rash but i saw no where better so...

Thanks, Mark

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi.

You are experiencing a burning sensation over the head, scalp, along the neck and the arms. This is not associated with any visible rash. Also, you have noted hiccups and some heartburn. At this point, we can not exactly tell what this is but hiccups and heartburns would need further evaluation. I suggest you seek consult with an internist for a complete physical examination. This burning sensation may be nerve related as it follows a particular pattern. A complete medical history, neurologic examination and blood tests will help rule out other conditions .Evaluation of cardiac function may be necessary.

At this point, underlying conditions have to be ruled out first before a localized skin condition is given as a diagnosis.
