Skin getting darker

My skin is getting darker as I grow older, i think it might be because of the sun but my whole body's skin color is getting darker, I wish to know why this is happeneing and if there is anyway to stop and/or lighten my skin again

I have SLE(Lupus) and ESRD, I noticed about one year ago that my feet were getting darker.  Could this be because of the Lupus or the renal failure or all these medications?  I'm not taking any meds for the Lupus, no steroids or anything.  I just wish I knew......

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like tanning of the skin or hyperpigmentation skin. Avoid going out in the sun during the peak hours and apply a sunscreen with minimum spf 30 atleast half an hour before going out in the sun. Also dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, chemical peeling, and microdermabrasion can be used for smooth and supple skin. Please consult a dermatologist for that.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
