Small Red Bumps In Pubic Area After Heat/Exercise

Ever since I have been running I have noticed an increase in small red bumps after exercising. I wear UnderArmour boxers that are tight and tend to run in 80 degree temperatures for hours at a time. I am 99% sure these are not from an STD. The bumps are slightly raised, are slightly uncomfortable to touch but don't hurt otherwise, do not have a head, and are not popable. I have tried washing this area thoroughly after every run, but the bumps persist. They are located mainly in my upper pubic region, very rarely making their way near my penis. I have also noticed some on my legs, which is where the boxer-briefs come down to. Is there anything I can do to get them to go away? What are they? If it would help I can upload a photo, but I would rather try to get an answer without one.

Just an update for any wondering how to treat this. At the time my pubic hair was longer. After a trim with a beard trimmer at a 1 or 2 setting the bumps have reduced. I believe this is due to the lack of heat.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be sweat dermatitis or prickly heat. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
