Spots on my groin

I have small red spots in my pubic hair and on the base of my penis. They dont itch and arent sore but im slightly worried about what they might be, they seem to come and go at different times but there seems to always be 1 or 2 there. What do you think it is?
Also i have a sore patch under my right armpit. its been there before and im wondering if the two are linked. mainly im worried that i may have herpes.
Im going to go see a doctor as soon as i can make an appointment.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without external examination it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis, but the various possibilities for your symptoms are folliculitis(might only be felt as small lumps in the skin commonly with a hair arising from centre) , sweat dermatitis or contact dermatitis(appear as red small lumps with itching or burning)  or due to an underlying infection (bacterial and fungal as well as other organisms.

I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get yourself evaluated for these possibilities. Till then, you should keep the area clean, wear lose comfortable clothes to avoid sweating, use a powder to keep the area dry  and use calamine lotion at the sites. Oral antihistamine medications would help if the lesions are itchy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It could be that the two are related IF they are of a fungal source. A dermatology MD could tell you the best.
