Open pores on the penis

HI guys,

im 16 years old and since i was 14 noticed tiny little open pores on my penis and when i squeezed them white puss came out. Every day for 2 years i have worried about this and though i had something like caner or an illness. I am so relieved that when i researched it that i was normal and healthy!
I could not face going to a doctor or telling my parents, its just  too embarrasing!!

So anyway from what i hear im just going to have to deal with it. I think that when i do have sex for the first time im going to warn my partner that its nothing and that incase she thinks i have got a STD or somthing.
And i think to myself, if she does run a mile from me so be it. If the person who is with me loves me and cares for me then she will understand and know its nothing.

So the reason i am writing this is to let everyone know that ur not alone and i eurge you to deal with this minor problem and to be thankfully you do not have anything alot worse like caner!

Happy days,

James

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi James,

During adolescence, hormones usually are not well balanced as an effect of the body adjusting to this phenomenon. This could lead to a lot of physical and hormonal changes in the body that is usually normal. The presence of pores or bumps in the genital area could be attributed to this  It is nice to read your post and it serves as reassurance to those within your age bracket that there is really nothing to worry about.

I understand this could be very embarrassing to some but it is alright to discuss these things with your parents or doctor because they are also there to help you.
Take care and God bless.

But how do I get rid of them
It depends on what they are. If they are just clogged oil glands, just leave them alone. Keep the area clean - use a gentle soap, and make sure to keep the area dry. If you sweat a lot, you may need to wash the area twice a day.

If you are sexually active, and think this may be an STD, you absolutely need to get this checked out by a doctor. (It doesn't sound like an STD, though.)

If anything looks infected, or it hurts, see a doctor. DO NOT POP THEM.

Some bumps are normal. There are things called pearly penile papules and Fordyce spots that are completely normal, and that a lot of guys have. Most of the time, they are far more noticeable to you than to anyone else.
