Stretch marks

Dr. Physician,

Approximately two years ago I had a baby.  At the time it didn't seem as though I had many stretch marks, but as I have continued to lose weight I have noticed more and more.  I am particularly distressed about some that have appeared on my under arm in the tricep area as well as in my armpit and torso area.  They are not discolored, but are very deep and highly noticeable.  Is there anything that I can do to minimize their appearance?

Thanks

Hello,
Creams containing alpha hydroxyl acids and retin-A are said to be useful in decreasing the stretch marks but the advertised antimarks creams have no proof of effectiveness. Eat healthy ,nutritious food ,drink plenty of fluids and do moderate exercises. Laser therapy, and dermabrasion, alone or in combination have also been shown to be effective in diminishing the appearance of stretch marks. For that you need to consult a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
