Hi did the molluscum ever go away? If so, how long and what did you do?
Hello,
We keep a window period of 6 months for HIV after exposure to the virus when the tests should come positive. Your tests at 5 months 22 days have come negative, so chances of HIV are less likely. Molluscum is a self limiting infection and sometimes it can take even years for the spots to go away. Otherwise you can opt for various treatment options of molluscum.
Treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
And then remember that your tests are well beyond the window period Therefore, a person should consider a follow-up test more than three months after their last potential exposure to HIV. In extremely rare cases, it can take up to 6 months to develop antibodies to HIV.
These extremely rare cases are those with birth cell disorders of immune system.ok?
