Hi,

Hair loss may be due to underlying genetic, hormonal and immune factors. Some differentials will be telogen effluvium, alopecia areata and an underlying hormonal condition. These are just differentials and I do not want to cause you further worries. For your age , the use of abrasive shampoos and hair dyes, as well as frequent coloring ,perming or straightening of the hair may also cause some hair loss.

Let us wait for the results of your biopsy. I know you are very anxious and worried about this. Discuss this with your parents and do not hesitate to ask your physician any questions regarding you condition.

Hi,

I suggest that you discuss this with your parents or guardian. Hair loss may be associated with stress and hormones. At your age, we may be considering this as a primary factor. One thing also, are you on a particular diet right now?

I suggest that you start eating well.Get enough sleep and exercise.

Inform your parents about this so they may help you set an appointment with your primary physician. This is something that may require further evaluation.

Any problems with appetite and the menstrual cycle?

Hi,

How did your condition start?

Would you be able to tell us about it?

Are there any associated itchiness, redness, swelling in your scalp?

Did your scalp present with scales or flakes?

Also how would you describe the hair fall?

Did your hair fall in clumps?

Any areas of baldness in the head?

Any signs of weight gain? Do you get easily tired?
