What is it?

Recently, these growths(?), pimples(?), rash(?), eczema(?),appeared on my armpits.Previously, I have had similar ... things on the inner-part of my thigh, and those have been reoccuring for over five year. The biggest growth on my armpit, is the most painful, it doesn't have a white head, therefore for I can't pop it. Aside from this, it swells up. The swelling has gone down at lelast 30% since this picture was taken. Previous doctor visits resulted in needles being jabbed into the growth and out; with news that they said "it was normal, and it would go away." This was bs, because those "pimples," spread from my legs to BOTH armpits. Any recommondations on what type of topical cream, or oral medicine can be used to calm it down?

(P.S. Vitamin A+D ointment and Witch Hazel are being used to try and cure.)

Hello,
One possibility for your symptoms is of hidradenitis suppurativa. Hidradenitis suppurativa is a skin disease that affects areas bearing apocrine sweat glands and hair follicles; such as the underarms, groin and buttocks especially in women.

Apply warm compresses on the lumps and keep the area clean. Topical antiseptic treatment and topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment is very useful. If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage, laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful. I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these options with him.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you, your advise I found very useful. The biggest welt, pimple, whatever, has as of  right now gone down in swelling, red. Of course, warm compresses have been a great help, as hell as aloe vera. Speaking to a dermatologist would help, if I had health insurance, but as soon as as I get me insurance reenstated, I will of course look into it.

Thank you again, Sarai
