What is wrong with my scalp?

Hello I am new to this website and joined because I've just about given up on my scalp. Ever since middle school my dandruff has been a huge problem. I have tried just about every remedy there is from all shampoos over the counter to stuff like mayonnaise, limes, and coconut oil. I just can't seem to keep it at bay. Having the benefit of working from home i decided to shave my head completely to physically see what was wrong with my head. After shaving my scalp was covered with red irritated marks all over.i have had one dermatologist look at my scalp before i shaved it and he told me i had two things i don't remember off of the top of my head. Is there any way i can finally control my scalp? Or at least get rid of one of the two things screwing with my scalp for good?

Is it possible your doctor said you have psoriasis?  Usually you would get an ointment for that- I would go back to the dermatologist to see if you can get some creams or ointments for this.

I'll make an appointment for this week again, now that the problem is clear to see maybe i can get a better diagnosis.
