What to do about my keloid?

I have a small pimple sized keloid on the front of my earlobe. From a piercing  that got infected about 7 years ago. It stop growing after I took the piercing out. I'm mixed skin type. Should I try cyrotherapy or steroid injection shots from a Dermatologist? I don't know what to do but I'm tired of this keloid scar and want it gone. Please help me and tell me what I should do.

" Find out if the proposed treatment works first for your particular keloid condition before removal...."  So are you saying there are different types of keloids? And when you took your shots did you take them regularly or just one?

I've had keloid treatments of various kinds. I have multiple scars. The most effective treatment for me was cryotherapy with steroid injections. Steroid injections alone were not as powerful for me and even agitated one of them. I've also had radiation therapy with no impact at all. Please be very cautious about anyone wanting to remove the scar and then try treatment. Find out if the proposed treatment works first for your particular keloid condition before removal....or you could end up with a much bigger scar. This happened to me. Very upsetting. You have my best wishes and compassion. Victoria
