White scaly/flaky patches on face

Three weeks ago I have been diagnosed with Pityriasis rosea: my whole torso, back and neck where covered with red/pink spots and patches. However, I didn't have anything on my legs, arms and face.

Last week I began to notice several patches appearing on my face. I first thought they were from Pityriasis but their appearence is completely different. The patch on my chin is extremely flaky while the one on my temple and under my eye is much more "scaly" and white. The skin "under" those patches also seems to 1 or 2 millimiters "thicker" than the rest of the face.

Do you have any idea of what this could be? Is it related to Pityriasis rosea?
PS: I am currently taking my finals but I don't think that the rash came from stress.

Thank you very much for your reply :)
I went to my dermatologist today and she prescribed me Elocom Cream 0.1% for my face and Locoid Lipocream for my back (Pityriasis already has almost faded out).
She said it was a "young adult" viral infection :s and believed both my body's and my face's rashes had the same origin.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to seborrheic dermatitis. Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. Your friend should get them prescribed from her doctor.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
