I really need help! :(

Hi. I have really bad chickenpox scars on my face. It's like this, I had chickenpox when I was 10 (which is 4 years ago), and the scars dont seem to heal. Maybe it's because I peeled the chickenpox off before it could really heal. Now, the scars are like small holes on my face. I always feel ashamed when I'm talking to my friends because they have really perfect skins! I did try some scars serums, but none of them really worked. My scars aren't like the dark scars that you see on other people, but they look like they're peeled off. I dont wanna feel inferior anymore. If you have any suggestions for my problem, please tell me! I really need help.

Thank you :)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The scars that you are having are Post inflammatory hypopigmentation is very difficult to treat but sometimes it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like  Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented  areas but at such a young age it is not advisable to use them . If the symptoms still persist then  you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you, I really appreciate you answering this. I will try to talk to my mum about this and maybe try to heal the scars by using chinese herbs. I will keep you posted. Thanks again.
