I'm still having problems with paresthesias, it goes from my head (face big time} to my feet, i do drink but only once in a while. During the day it dosen't bother me as much, but at night it's killing me, i have insomnia as it is, and the paresthesias is pinching me, so i lose alot of sleep. Some times it travels to my eyelids hitting my eye which causes me to jump out of bed. I tried the B12 it slows it down but doesn't make it go . Just don't know what to do.

Hello,
This feeling of pin ***** and crawling sensations that you are having are called Paresthesia. Chronic paresthesia indicates a problem with the functioning of neurons.

Parasthesias are common in alcoholics and metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition.

Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the sensations are gone or not.

In case the symptoms persist then please consult a neurologist as it can be due to some neurological disorder. Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Warm regards.
