erythema around mouth and nose with itching

Hello, I have been having this weird problem of redness around my nose and mouth.. last night there was no sign of redness and only mild itching, but as soon as I woke up today, I saw the skin around my nose is inflammed. I believe its Perioral Dermatitis but then again I cant make any diagnoses on my own. I have had this problem before and last time I had clear discharge from the inflammed skin and it resulted in a scar after couple days. I applied corticosteroids and took diphenhydramine and it got rid of the problem in a week. However, if its perioral dermatitis than I read its not good to apply hydrocortisone. so can any body please help me?? Thanks!

Hi...I just want to say that I got the red around the sides of my nose and was trying all sorts of creams and the one that worked was Nizoral for fungal skin problems...Now I have known for years that I have candidiasis and so I just figured it may be a fungal upper respiratory infection...Try to tell a doctor in Canada ?..Good luck!
