I recommend using Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream or Vaseline. To avoid this in future shave with warm water, a new razor and a good quality shaving oil like King Of Shaves. Pat the area dry with a clean towel and apply the 8 hour cream.
Alternatively use a different method of hair removal such as hair removing cream. Choose one for sensitive skin which comes with an aftercare lotion. Do not apply any astringent product for 48 hours before or after treatment and do a patch test on a small area first to check for reaction.

i heard using neosporin can help get rid of it quick, is this true?
how long does it usually take for the bumps to go away naturally? i shaved mostly around my lower stomach, and very low back, and in both areas there are tons of little red bumps,  and its over a pretty large area, its the width of my stomach and back, and about 7 inches above the wasteline in each area and very visable, and the problem is that i am going on a vacation at a beach and i will be there not tomorrow morning but the next morning, and it would be very very embarassing to be seen in front of my family, friends and relatives like this.  it really really stands out.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

This sounds like razor burns. Firstly, I can not suggest you a single medication or OTC product which promises immediate resolution of the razor bumps. Razor bumps or pseudofolliculitis barbae in more severe forms may require topical antibiotics. Apply warm compress over the area and let this heal on its own. It should resolve spontaneously. At this point applying anything on the area may lead to infections and further irritation. Keep the area clean and dry. You may apply vitamin E cream over the area to keep it from drying too much.
