So I went to a dermatologist and she prescribed me hair4uhair4u-2% minoxidil-aminexil, xtraglo dietary supplement tablet and a shampoo-mycon. I started this treatment only 1 week ago. but after seeing some reviews about minoxidil, I'm too much afraid about side effects. how long it have to use? will there be really hair fall problem again after stop using it??

Thank you for your reply.I'm using this medication for 9 days. I've not found any significant change(though its relatively small time frame). But I' very much worried about what u said about medication.

Earlier my hair was very thin and unhealthy. So I've tried all possible way to increase volume of my hair. Now good thing is that my hair is very silky and looks great after using loreal shampoo+conditionr. But hair growth rate did not increase, hence the volumn of my hair remains same.

Now because of medication I've stopped using the shampoo and conditioner. Is there no soln.?wat sud I do? I dont want to use this medication rest of my life.I'm totally confused and worried.please help.Show me some direction.

Were you checked by a specialist to determine what was causing the hair loss to begin with?
If you have some unidentified disease or other problem, the medication that the dermatologist gave you won't help much.

From what I've read, it may be used  indefinitely to prevent more hair loss...
Doesn't sound to promising to me...and according to the manufacturer, this medication may CAUSE hair loss...which they call shedding.

I guess it all depends on how much you are willing to spend...will you want to spend ( however much it costs a month ) for the rest of your life?

Not trying to bring you down...just stating what I found in regards to the medication.

Good luck to you.
