irritaion on the folds of shaft skin

3 weeks ago, I discovered several white spots underside of my penis barely noticeable. A friend of mine suggested to apply Miconazole BP 2% Anti-Fungal cream twice a day. I did it but I think I overdid it. Although the spots were on the underside, I used to apply it all over my penis. After a week, I felt slight burning and itching on folds of shaft skin (I'm circumcised). I stopped applying it on that part. The white spots appears to be gone, but I have serious irritation on the folds of shaft skin. I tried to stay at home, ventilate it being naked in front of a fan and used baby powder for a couple of days. But, once, I get out of the house, and the skin is rubbed against. A sharp pain starts and irritation starts killing me. The last week, I spent most of the time at home. But, no progress is made.
Would you please advise?
I'm really confused.

,it is the bumps or me stretching the skin that has not been fully healed yet.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your comment.
I actually visited a general Doctor yesterday. He recommended me "Bactroban 5g ointment", an oily cream, to apply twice daily.
As you mentioned not to apply cream, whenever I apply any cream as I applied Vitamin A/D oily cream before, I feel that the irritation is remained fresh. What I really don't understand is that despite I tried to take care of it the whole last week, the irritation is not dried and healed as much as I expected.
In 6 days, I'm going to have a 2 weeks dense trip and I have many activities. I'm so afraid that if cant handle it now, I'm gonna have a big trouble on my trip. Since, I cant even walk normally right now. When, my body starts perspiring, I feel a sharp pain hurting me.
Would you advise to or not to continue applying the new cream?

Best Regards

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it sounds like irritant contact dermatitis.
Avoid using any lotions and creams over the penis for the meantime. Wash it with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat it dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
