is this seborrhea?

I have a bunch of 'pimple-like" structures in the center of my chest. It does not ressemble any of the descriptions of seborrhea that I have read about. I have had this for 2 months. Now there seem to be a few "welt-like structures near my chest. My Dr says it is seborrhea and has tried fluocinonideand then desoximetasone. Currently I am taking keflex orally and mupirocin. None of thse medicines have made much of a difference. There are 2 pimples on my head as well. What do you recommend. It itches and it is also very painful at times

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Seborrhea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that affects the areas of the head and trunk that have sebaceous glands. It is more common in men than women.  Other conditions that can be similar are psoriasis, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, or superficial fungal infections.

You should consult your doctor if you have tried the earlier treatment and you still have symptoms. A stronger steroid or a combination medicine may be recommended as an alternative.

Take care and keep us posted.
