Thank you for your response doctor. I will surely see a doctor asap.
Hello,
One possibility could be tinea versicolor but the other possibility is of post inflammatory hypopigmentation after using Proactiv. Post inflammatory hypopigmentation is very difficult to treat but sometimes it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented areas but at such a young age it is not advisable to use them . If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Again it doesn't hurt or itch could it be tinea faciei?
Before I get to my question I thought it would be helpful if I stated that I use The 3 step Proactiv Solution system. The Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner and The Reparing lotion. I started using it twice a day for a little over a month now. So I realized yesterday that I had a small white patch of skin on my chin beside a part of my beard, it doesn't hurt, itch or nothing actually it looks slightly scaly when i strech the skin but nothing major. I want to know any suggestions as to what it could be? Also my chin has been feeling a little dry lately don't know if its the Proactiv or what. Can Proactive or Benz Peroxide cause white patches/spots?
