I have a friction burn on my penis. What should I do to treat it?

A few days ago I tried a new masturbation technique that cause a friction burn on the bottom tip of my penis. I'm not exactly sure how to treat it. I've been using rubbing alcohol (which stings, but health outweighs comfort), but I also bought some neosporin. Is there anything specific I should be using or am I on the right track with the rubbing alcohol? Also, besides the spot getting smaller, how will I know it's healing properly? Like, will it become less red or will it start to scab or something?
