Best treatment options for flat mole removal on cheek?

Hi, I'm a 34 y/o Asian male with medium skin complexion. I have a single flat mole, size is approximately the tip of a pencil eraser, circular. It is black in color and looks similar to some mole pencil point moles I have had since birth.

The mole on my cheek has been there for 9 years now, and has never changed size or color since it first appeared.
I've seen different therapies available, but I am not sure which one I should be looking for (i.e. IPL / Fraxel Laser... There were other laser types but I am not sure.)

Different places have different treatments and I just wanted to have a better idea what might remove this single flat mole, and cause minimal to no discoloration if removed.

Please guide me to the direction and type of professional I should look for. I know there's dermatologists and plastic surgeons around but I'd like to see what options there are before I contact one and if they even offer such a treatment. Thank you!

A few possible side-effects following laser mole removal treatment are pain, skin color changes, scarring,incomplete treatment, and restimulation of growth.The skin color changes are mostly temporary but can take long time to go if extensive scarring is there.I would suggest that you discuss all the pros and cons with your dermatologist before going in for the treatment.There is no specific name for Nd YAG laser.

Hi thanks for your reply, this ND YAH Laser, does it go by any particular "trade name?"
Will the normal color of my skin reappear for these surface types of removal? I mean if the "black" color is somehow removed in this pencil-eraser size shape, will it leave a permanent hypopigmented white spot instead? I read that these are possible side effects, and could these be relieved with those with better experience working with such things? I think this is most likely a junctional flat nevus,since there are not any raised or irregular borders and uniform color without change. I'd say my skin is a medium tan-brown type of color.

The various treatment options for flat mole removal are liquid nitrogen to freeze the mole, cautery to burn the mole, surgical mole removal or laser treatment.Out of all these,Nd YAG laser is considered to be giving better results.Pls discuss these options of treatment with your dermatologist.
